This is a pub we call at rarely – perhaps a couple of times a year if we are nearby. It sells beers from breweries owned by Marstons – but also sells other ales . The last time we were here, I was on Kirkstall Pale Ale, and quite liked it but it wasn’t on tap on this occasion, so I tried a Boon Doggle ( Ringwoods brewery – owned by Marstons)
Wasn’t fond of this – and some months later, I was told by a fellow beer sampler , that he liked Boon Doggle from a bottle , but not draught. I’ve got to say that when I knocked my glass over when still a quarter full, I wasn’t too upset :-). Lets look around at this trennndeee place.
look at those seats – like a London gentleman’s club.
Ah here comes the food
Spoiled by the green stuff (salad not mould)
Hobgoblin – that’s better – Mrs W is on the hard stuff now – Americano.
lets have another look around.
You would think it is a bit too upmarket for a pool table – but there it is.
Perhaps Bobby Crush comes in ( I’d be first out if he did) 🙂
It’s handy, it’s somewhere to eat and drink, you could almost walk past it and not realize it was there, not a traditional type pub, not really my scene – a bit too trendy, but good grub. We are in Gods own county – but which pub/bar are we in
This is one for the Weatherhill Beerhunter to ponder on .
